The Executive Chairman of Liberty Alhaji (Dr) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan has Endorsed the bold move to redefine Nigeria’s digital future, by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NigComSat) Launching “The Big Picture”— a revolutionary upgrade to the country’s Digital Switchover, (DSO).

Ramalan, in a chat with Liberty News on Friday, said this NBC NIGCOMSAT ‘Big Picture’ after the long wait, at last will serve as the country’s platform for innovation, and industry collaboration for news entertainment, and technology eco-system, adding that it will reshape the Broacast Media industry and provide added value to future of Nigerian Indigenous Television Video and Content.

The LibertyTV Boss said as technology continues to evolve, the future of television looks more exciting than ever. He said, “From smart TVs to Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven content creation, the way we watch and interact with television is changing rapidly. 

“Virtual reality and augmented reality are offering immersive experiences, while SAT-LINK and 5G promises faster streaming and more interactive features. Whether you’re a Broadcaster, content creator looking to explore new tools or a viewer excited about the next big thing, the future of television is filled with endless possibilities.

Ramalan advised that staying up-to-date with these technological advancements, both industry professionals and audiences can ensure they’re part of the exciting changes shaping the world of television.

According to him, “Television is undergoing a radical transformation. What was once a passive, linear experience dominated by a handful of networks has evolved into a dynamic, interactive eco-system powered by technology, data, and consumer choice. Finally, he said traditional cable and satellite TV continue to lose ground to streaming services of the rapidly expanding universe of niche platforms. “Consumers are increasingly choosing à la carte subscriptions that reflect their unique tastes, leading to a more fragmented, but highly personalized, viewing landscape”, he emphasised.
